Viterra is pleased to announce the completion of its storage and handling expansion project in the UK’s premier port of Immingham, in partnership with Associated British Ports (ABP).
Phase one of the development began in 2022, with the opening of an additional storage facility known as “Shed 35”. Plans to expand the facility were drawn up in early 2024, and ABP’s in-house project team have delivered a fantastic facility, with Shed 36 now complimenting Shed 35, providing a total storage capacity of approximately 75,000 MT. The newly expanded storage and handling facility located next to the deep-water berths, known as the Humber International Terminal (HIT), can accommodate vessels capable of carrying up to 80,000 MT of cargo.
The substantial opportunity this facility provides Viterra and its customers for both import and export business is backed by APB’s experience and professionalism in handling our vessels and cargoes.
The Port of Immingham is ideally located to serve Viterra’s customer base and is supported by an excellent road network, allowing efficient and timely deliveries.
